As a social purpose real estate and community developer, Mooney’s Bay Ventures Inc. believes in doing things differently. We want to connect the dots across sectors and partners to better serve the people of our neighborhood.

    • Partnerships with a broader spectrum of community organizations, service providers, City agencies, and industry and commercial partners
    • Co-developed programming that supports housing, economic development, health and safety, arts and culture, and community development, and
    • Patient and flexible capital from a broad spectrum of value-aligned impact investors, lenders, and grant makers

    Our investments in the Mooney’s Bay neighbourhood are driven by a blend of financing across the private, public and non-profit sectors and partnerships and programming with city, community, and industry leaders. We use private equity to spur development and activate other types of capital, including philanthropic dollars, government support, and program-related investments. We connect these sectors and capital investments to create the maximum collective impact for our neighbourhood.

    We have grounded our solutions-focused and community-driven approach in our Theory of Change and Logic model and have aligned our social metrics to the international standards of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and the One Planet Living framework.
